SPAIN-ROUTE TO THE MEDITERRANEAN

DAY 1, FRIDAY: EN ROUTE
Depart Canada, on an overnight trans-Atlantic flight.
DAY 2, SATURDAY: MADRID
Morning arrival in Madrid where you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel for accommodations. Rest of the morning is free to relax or explore. In the afternoon we've included a panoramic sightseeing tour of Madrid featuring the most important avenues on monuments. Balance of the day and evening is at your leisure.
DAY 3, SUNDAY: MADRID
Buffet breakfast. Full day at leisure for visiting the Prado Museum and the impressive Royal Palace on your own. We also highly recommend perhaps partaking in an optional excursion to the nearby medieval city Toledo. Accommodations.

DAY 4, MONDAY: MADRID-CORDOBA-SEVILLE
Buffet breakfast. Today start the escorted portion of you tour departing by luxury motorcoach through the plains of La Mancha, Don Quixote country, to Cordoba. Lunch in Cordoba. Visit the "Mezquita", an incomparable 8th century Mosque that is now a Christian Cathedral. Also visit the old Jewish Quarter. Continue to Seville for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5, TUESDAY: SEVILLE
Buffet breakfast. Today's morning city tour of Seville includes Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de España and the quaint and charming Santa Cruz Quarter with its typical streets and alleys. Afternoon at leisure. This evening we recommend an optional Flamenco show. Dinner and accommodations at your hotel.

DAY 6, WEDNESDAY: SEVILLE-GRANADA
Buffet breakfast. Departure across the Andalusian countryside to Granada. This afternoon's tour is of the impressive Alhambra Palace with it's peaceful Generalife Gardens. Dinner and accommodations at your hotel.

DAY 7, THURSDAY: GRANADA-VALENCIA
Buffet breakfast. Valencia is our destination this morning as we travel towards the Mediterranean coast. Valencia is famous for it's ceramic artesanry and is the birthplace of "Paella", Spain's delicious national dish. This charming city is also home to the famous Lladro ceramic factory and will host the upcomming America's Cup Sailing competition. Arrival and overnight accommodations.

DAY 8, FRIDAY: VALENCIA-BARCELONA
Buffet breakfast. This morning we continue along the Mediterranean to Barcelona, capital of the Catalonia region and Spain's second largest city. Flanked by majestic hills, Barcelona is one of Europe's loveliest cities. Arrival and accommodations.

DAY 9, SATURDAY: BARCELONA
Buffet breakfast. Today's sightseeing tour includes the medieval Gothic Quarter, often referred to as the "old city", the Cathedral, Montjuich Park with it's spectacular views, the Olympic Ring and the monument to Columbus. The afternoon is yours to explore the city by taking a walk along the famous Ramblas Boulevard. Accommodations.

DAY 10, SUNDAY: BARCELONA
Buffet breakfast. Pre-arranged transfer to Barcelona airport at the proper time to check-in for your trans-Atlantic flight to your home city.
