Bolivia - Salar de Uyuni

AABS05 Salar de Uyuni – Laguna Colorada – Laguna
Verde – Potosí – Sucre. From La Paz 8D/7N

Day1: La Paz – Oruro – Uyuni:

Departure from La Paz by bus to Oruro and then by train to Uyuni. This is a long Daytravel across Bolivia’s high plateau but with rewarding views of the mountains and the highlands. Hotel.

Day2: Uyuni – San Juan:

In the morning overland travel to cross the impressive salt flats of Uyuni. On the way we visit Colchani, the salt mining town, stop to visit the "Isla Pescado" where we can find a unique variety of flora and fauna. We will arrive finally at San Juan Village (or Bellavista or Chuvica) at an altitude of 3800 m. Basic lodge accommodations. (B, L, D).

Day3: San Juan – Laguna Colorada:

Morning departure for a journey across the salty lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkhota and Ramaditas. We continue to the Siloli desert with the "Stone forest" and then finally arriving at "Laguna Colorada" (4200 m) where we can observe flamingos. Basic lodge accommodation. (B, L, D).

Day4: Laguna Colorada – Laguna Verde – Alota:

Early morning excursion to the geysers known as the "Sol de la Mañana" (4800 m) then we continues towards "Laguna Verde" at 4400 m. Great views of Licancahur and Juriquis Volcanoes. Transfer to Alota village. Basic lodge accommodation. (B, L, D).

Day5: Alota – Uyuni:

Crossing through startling scenery we will have a long return Dayto Uyuni where we will arrive late in the afternoon. Hotel. (B, L).

Day6: Uyuni – Potosí:

Trip has plenty of wonderful views of the highlands of this area. In the afternoon short city tour visiting La Casa de La Moneda and the museum. Hotel. (B).

Day7: Potosi – Sucre:

Morning tour to the famous mines of Cerro Rico. Borrowing down into its bowels you can experience what life was like many centuries ago for those working in these mines. Potosi. Visit La Casa de la Moneda. In the afternoon travel to Sucre, the Capital of Bolivia. (B).

Day8: Sucre.

We will make in the morning a city tour of Sucre, declared a "World Heritage Site" by The UNESCO and is still preserved from modernity. We will visit the colonial part of this charming city, the legal Capital of Bolivia. We will also visit to the interesting Dinosaur Tracks site at the Fanseca cement factory. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight back to La Paz. End of our services. (B).
