Chile - Torres del Paine

AACH01 Trekking Torres del Paine 12D/11N

Located in the southern tip of South America, Torres del Paine National Park is perhaps one of the most spectacular wilderness areas in the world. Blue lakes, great glaciers and beautiful green landscapes surround these impressive and beautiful rocky peaks. Magnificent fauna and flora can be observed in Patagonia's untamed wilderness.

Day 1: Arrival in Santiago.

Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Santiago – Punta Arenas – Puerto Natales.
Transfer to the airport and flight to the city of Punta Arenas. We will have lunch in a local restaurant and then we will transfer you the small city of Puerto Natales. On the way visit Seno Otway and pass Villa Rio Verde. Hotel and dinner. B, L, D.

Day 3: Puerto Natales / Torres del Paine

In the morning we arrange a private transfer to Torres del Paine National Park. During our drive we stop for a visit to the Milodon Caves. Arrival at Refuge Torres and trekking to the base of Torres del Paine (8 hours). Return to Torres Refuge. B, BL, D.

Day 4: Refugio Torres / Lago Paine / Refugio Dickson:

After breakfast transport by 4X4 drive to Paine Lake from where we start our trekking towards Dickson refuge (4 hours). This trek follows a nice trail along the shores of Paine Lake then crossing the Caiquenes River with beautiful views of the mountains. B, BL, D.

Day 5: Refugio Dickson / Camp Los Perros.

This 5 - 6 hours trek will take us to Los Perros camp while crossing a beautiful high forest typical of the Patagonia. We follow the shores of Los Perros River until we reach the lake with its beautiful icebergs and hanging glaciers of the mountain. Camp. B, BL, D.

Day 6: Camp Los Perros / Refugio Grey

This is a long day trekking till we reach the Grey refuge. Porters will help us carrying all our heavy equipment. During the day we will cross the 1300m high pass known as John Garner. From the summit of this pass we can appreciate the amazing Camp de Hielo Sur (South Ice land) and the Grey Glacier. Overnight in Grey refuge. B, BL, D.

Day 7: Refugio Grey / Refugio Pehoe

After breakfast we will have a free morning to enjoy visiting the nearby area with the impressive glaciers and seracs. In the afternoon we will trek towards the Pehoe refuge. Porters will help us with the transport of our heavy equipment. B, BL, D.

Day 8: Refugio Pehoe / French Valley / Refugio Cuernos

This day we will have the help of horses. We will trek towards the French valley then to Italian camp and Paine Grande view point. Finally after 7 hours we will arrive to our refuge known as Cuernos. B, BL,D.

Day 9: Refugio Cuernos / Refugio Torres

Our last day trek will take us back to Torres refuge. This day we will make the pass known as Los Cuernos located at the foothills of the impressive Cuernos Mountain then we will continue on the shores of the Nordenksjold Lake. From Refugio Torres we will take our transport back to Puerto Natales. Hotel. B, BL.

Day10: Puerto Natales / Punta Arenas

In the morning a private transport back to the city of Punta Arenas will be arranged. Hotel accommodations. Free afternoon. B.

Day 11: Flight back to Santiago de Chile. Hotel. B.

Day 12: Santiago out. B

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home (or program extension). (B).
